Candy Corn Week Day 7

Thank you for stopping by for Day 7 of Candy Corn Week! Do you know what the shiny coating of candy corn is made from? Read the info graphic below to find out!

Today my card's focal image comes from the Fright Night bundle.  I heat embossed the image with black embossing powder, then masked off three sections to color it like a piece of candy corn using blending brushes.  The inks I used were Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.  The card base is from Pumpkin Pie card stock cut to an A2 size.

I used the coordinating die to cut the image out, then used the slightly larger frame die to create a panel from the negative image.  I splattered it with white acrylic paint and a little water. Then I layered a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock to place behind my focal point.  To provide some texture, I ran it through the Stamp, Cut and Emboss using the Forever Plaid embossing folder

To finish the card, I colored a few of the white Shimmer Foam Adhesive Stickers with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend marker and adhered them to the front of the card panel.

I have one bonus card left to post this afternoon and that will bring Candy Corn Week to a close for this year.  Thanks so much for joining me!  I wish you a wonderful fall and upcoming holiday season!

I have a Holiday Treat Container Class going on this month.  The first post is today, September 6th.  I'll post a new idea each Saturday this month.  Please join me for this fun class as well!
