Thank you for stopping by for Day 6 of Candy Corn Week! We can't have Candy Corn Week without recognizing the other candy corn on the shelves during this time of year! Have you seen the brown candy corn? Did you know the name of it is Harvest Corn? ...and do you think it is the same flavor as regular candy corn?
- For the project today, I created a tag and card in Harvest Corn colors. I colored Deep Blend and Cajun Craze lines using Stampin' Blend markers on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, then used the BOO die from the Fright Night Bundle to cut it out to resemble a piece of Harvest Corn.
- I used several retired dies to cut the tag and sentiment piece. I used the Weekend Adventures DSP to cut a half piece of plaid DSP from the large die and only adhered it around the edges to create a gift card holder on my tag. The sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze ink and from the Spooky Halloween stamp set.
- I stamped the pumpkin in Cajun Craze ink with a Pecan Pie inked stem and Early Espresso ink for the face, then fussy cut the jack-o-lantern out. This stamp is in the Party Celebrations stamp set. I punched a 1/16 hole and placed a string at the top of the card and added a few black Shimmer Foam Star Stickers to finish it off.
I will share candy corn memes, cards, tags and treat containers along with step by step directions on my blog so you can recreate them. I hope you will join in the fun by visiting my sites, leaving comments and even joining in by sharing your cards, treats and tags. You can also see them on Instagram using #CandyCornWeekSU. I added SU to the end of the hashtag because I will be using Stampin' Up! products but you can use any products you enjoy creating with!
So start thinking about all things candy corn and mark your calendars to join me the rest of this week!
