I have one last card to share before we bring Candy Corn Week to a close! Our last card has letters colored in a candy corn pattern.
- Candy Corn Fun Fact #8
- The Goelitz Candy Company, which originally sold the candy, is now known as the Jelly Belly company. They have a candy corn flavored jelly bean to pay tribute to their history.
I began my card by cutting an A2 Basic White card stock. I used a large post it note to mask off the bottom 2/3's of the card. I used blending brushes to ink blend Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks to create a blended background. Then I placed a small amount of Basic Gray re-inker on a stamping block with a little water to splatter across the ink blending.
I used the Party Celebrations stamp set to stamp the jack-o-lantern and fussy it out. Then I stamped the bat directly to the card front. I used the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend markers to color stripes to resemble candy corn on a piece of Basic White card stock then cut it out using the Boo from the Fright Night dies. I also cut two with Pumpkin Pie card stock to layer behind it to give it depth.
I removed the masking paper and used the same two ink colors to stamp the star clusters around the bottom portion of the card. I added some black Shimmer Star Foam Stickers to finish off the card.
Thanks again for joining me for Candy Corn Week this year! I hope you will join me again next Sept. 1st for another fun week celebrating this fabulous fall treat! Until next time...
