For my card today, I used the Painterly Pears DSP and two of the new 2025-2027 In Colors, Darling Duckling and Secret Sea card stock.
I began with a piece of Darling Duckling card stock cut to an A2 size and a panel of the Secret Sea DSP, layering the Secret Sea panel on the Darling Duck card base. I cut the panel at 4" x 5.25"
I cut another piece of Darling Duck card stock at 2.5" x 3.5" and layered another piece of the DSP from the Painterly Pears on it. I cut it a quarter inch smaller on two sides to create the border. I also cut two pears hanging from a branch from another sheet in the DSP pack.
I used the "You Mean the World to Me" sentiment from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit and stamped it on Secret Sea card stock with white craft ink. Then I used white embossing powder to cover the image and heat embossed it.
Tip: Use white craft ink with white embossing powder to get a more consistent coverage for your sentiment.
I tore the bottom edge of the sentiment piece then layered the Darling Duckling checked DSP from the same DSP pack and tore the bottom of it as well. By tearing the DSP, you will reveal the white core. I thought this would stand out nicely against the dark Secret Sea card stock.
I added a few of the new Darling Ducking In Color pearls to finish off the card.
