Card of Many Techniques

The card I made today is for this week's Global Design Project #505 Challenge.  I  used several different techniques on the card and I'll explain them based on the different layers.

The base of my card is Old Olive card stock stamped with the Painted Stripes background stamp using Olive Olive ink.  I also used some white acrylic paint to add some small splatter.

The second layer of the card is Strawberry Slush card stock cut with a deckled rectangle die .  I used texture paste and a stencil to create a patterned background. I allowed it to dry for 30 minutes before moving on to the next step.

For the Pretty Peacock card stock layer, I misted the panel with water and ran it through the Stamp, Cut and Emboss machine with the Forever Plaid embossing folder. After allowing it to dry, I added a light splattering of white paint.

For the focal image, I stamped the coneflower image from the Mixed Florals stamp set using black Memento ink on white card stock and colored it using Strawberry Slush, Old Olive, Pretty Peacock and Copper Clay (retired) Stampin' Blends.  After coloring it, I fussy cut the image and adhered it using dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I used a stamp from this month's Paper Pumpkin stamp set. I used a postal die to cut the image out and ink blended the image before removing the die to create a white border around it.  I cut the small flowers from a die in the Impressions Abloom die set and colored the center with light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend.

I used Tombo glue to adhere my layers together to finish off my card.

Have you used any of the techniques I used on my card?  Do you have a favorite one?  I'd love to hear your input!
