Fall Watercolor Hello Card

Do you like the soft look of watercolor?  What about the orange and blues of fall cards?  I created this card with both of these ideas in mind.

I began with an A2 Balmy Blue card base and ran it through the Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine using the Gathering Leaves embossing folder.  Then I used my largest postal die to cut the image from a piece of watercolor paper.

I used washi tape to mask off the edges. Then I used the watercolor stamping technique (see a previous post for directions on how to do this technique) to stamp the pumpkin and stems from the Party Celebrations stamp set.  I also stamped the "Hey there Pumpkin" in Early Espresso ink.

For the background, I pressed some Balmy Blue ink on a clear stamping block, spritzed it with water and added color haphazardly in the clear areas.  After allowing the watercolor paper to dry, I adhered it to a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock

For the sentiment, I stamped the "hello" image on a piece of Early Espresso card stock using VersaMark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I used the Flight Night banner die to cut out a portion of the banner. I tied a bow with linen thread and placed it behind the sentiment, then adhered the banner with dimensionals.

If you like the watercolor look, check back tomorrow!  I have another watercolor pumpkin card to share with you!
