One Sheet Wonder Christmas Cards Part

Today, I'll reveal card number 6 from the One Sheet Wonder on page 42 of the September Mini Catalog. The image shows how to cut your DSP to get six cards from one 12 x 12 sheet of paper. Not only do the images beside it also show how to use the different pieces on cards, they show how to dress up your DSP to take it up a notch. The "take it up a notch" for the DSP on this card is to cut pieces from the patterned paper and use it in your focal point.

I began by cutting an A2 card base from Cherry Cobbler card stock. I used the Stamp, Cut and Emboss machine and a retired Christmas embossing folder to create a subtle background. Then I adhered the piece of DSP from the One Sheet Wonder layout to the center of the card. I used a piece from the North Pole Delivery pack.

I cut a stitch square from Very Vanilla card stock and used two images from the Gift of Joy stamp set for my sentiment.  The floral image was stamped in second generation ink.

Tip: Second generation stamping is inking the stamp, then stamping the image off on a piece of scratch paper to remove some of the ink to create a lighter image.

I stamped the "fa la la" three times and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. Then I fussy cut some of the postal images out and adhered them to the card front to appear as if they were tumbling down.  The North Pole Delivery DSP is a great choice if you like the postal trend happening in the crafting world right now.

This concludes the One Sheet Wonder series using the layout on page 42 from the September Mini catalog. I hope the next time you are crafting, you choose a 12 X 12 piece of DSP and give it a try!
