Candy Corn Week Day 2

Thank you for stopping by for Day 2 of Candy Corn Week! Question for the day...How do you eat your candy corn?

Please note that none of the memes I will be sharing this week were created by me. I found them online and will give credit to the creator when possible!

Candy Corn Fun Fact #2

A recent survey of Americans shows that while 57 percent of people believe you should eat the whole piece of candy corn at once, 28 percent believe in starting with the narrow, white end. Just 15 percent of respondents start with the wider, yellow end when enjoying a piece of candy corn.

Today's card is called a Joy-fold card.  It opens from the left on the smaller panel then on the right like a regular sized card. I also used the Spooky Halloween stamp set candy coordinating Spooky Sweet DSP to complete this candy corn colored card.

I began by cutting an A2 card base in Darling Duckling card stock and cut a piece of coordinating DSP from the 2025-2027 In Color pack at 4 x 5.25 and adhered it to the card front. I also cut a piece of Timid Tiger card stock at 3.5 x 4.5 and scored it at 3.5 to create a square panel for the front.  I cut a 3.25 square of Timid Tiger DSP from the same DSP pack as the Darling Duckling and adhered it to the front of the orange pane. I placed adhesive on the back of the 1 inch folded panel and glued it on the inside of the card to create the opening flap.  Then I cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 4 x 5.25 to cover the adhered panel on the inside of the card and to provide a place to write a note.

I used several of the punch out ephemera from the DSP pack to decorate the front panel with a piece of Timid Tiger Faux Linen ribbon.  The tag is also in the DSP pack.  I inked the sentiment from Spooky Halloween stamp set in Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling inks but inked "All Treats"separately so I could print them vertically from a horizontal stamp. I used washi tape to mask each word while I was inking them and removed the tape prior to stamping.
I continued decorating the inside flap and card with the same ephemera pieces from the DSP pack. To finish off the card, I stamped "Happy Halloween" in Timid Tiger ink on the inside card panel.

I will be posting cards and treats inspired by candy corn and I'm inviting you to play along with me!  So get out the yellow, orange and white inks and paper!  I know you will want to create some tasty treat inspired projects too!

I will share candy corn memes, cards, tags and treat containers along with step by step directions on my blog so you can recreate them. I hope you will join in the fun by visiting my sites, leaving comments and even joining in by sharing your cards, treats and tags.  You can also see them on Instagram using #CandyCornWeekSU. I added SU to the end of the hashtag because I will be using Stampin' Up! products but you can use any products you enjoy creating with!

So start thinking about all things candy corn and mark your calendars to join me the rest of this week!

Candy corn colors are the theme of my card today.  Hope to see you tomorrow for Day 3 of Candy Corn Week!
