Each Monday the Global Design Project announces their weekly card challenge on Instagram. This week's challenge is SPOOKY! My favorite type of cards to make!
I began by looking through my Halloween stash...Spooky Halloween Bundle? Fright Night Bundle? Party Celebraions? Sooo many to choose from! I finally decided to go with...all three!
I began by ink blending a Basic White card stock panel cut at 4 x 5.25 using Old Olive, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Basic Gray inks. I created a moon using a small circle from a post it note and ink blended over it Then I gently splattered some water on the panel and blotted it up. Did you know Stampin' Up!'s ink is water reactive? Look closely at the great splatter effect I got by doing this simple technique!
Then I used a cloud stencil to add some faint spooky clouds. I stamped the bats from the Spooky Halloween stamp set in Black Memento ink. I also gently ink blended over the moon with Basic Gray ink so that it wasn't quite as stark and prominent.
I used the Party Celebrations stamp set to stamp and fussy cut three jack-o-lanterns and adhered them to the bottom portion of the card. I cut the banner and EEK! from the Fright Night dies. The sentiment is also from this bundle. I chose Lost Lagoon ink and card stock for these pieces.
I finished off the card with some white Shimmer Star Foam Stickers.
