Updating Your Outdated DSP to Create a Back to School Card

Do you have a lot of older styles of DSP?  What would you say if I told you I could show you how to update it with current colors?

I have a lot of friends who are educators and decided to make some Back to School Cards to send them.  As I was looking through my DSP, I noticed I had a lot of the retired Rings of Love DSP and I really like the Poppy Parade and Mint Macaroon plaid print from the pack.  Since Mint Macaroon is no longer available, I decided to add some details to the plaid using the Secret Sea Stampin' Write marker and a ruler. By adding a third color, I took the DSP up to another level and opened up possibilities of using it with other new In Color products!

I also added leaf images using Secret Sea ink to a piece of Mint Macaroon card stock to coordinate with the plaid.   I punched an apple using the retired apple/pumpkin punch and a few other details to create this Back to School card.

Do  you have DSP that you can update to use with more current colors? I'd love to see how you update your papers!
