My First Fall Card of the Season

I absolutely love fall and everything that comes with it...cooler days, glorious foliage, and ...candy corn! (either you love it or you hate it) :)  I like my candy corn mixed with peanuts, but that's for another day!

When I was at the grocery store today, the candy corn was on display (it is early August!!), and that put me in the mood to make a fall card!

I decided to use the Paper Pumpkin add on dies, Circle of Seasons, for July-September kits to make my card.  I cut all the images out using the two tone card stock colors Basic Beige, Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso.

I cut the circle die using Early Espresso two tone card stock and ran it through the Stamp, Cut and Emboss machine with the Forever Plaid embossing folder. Then I used sand paper to scuff up the surface to give it a distressed look.

I cut three of the hello die pieces in Pecan Pie card stock and adhered them together to give it a more substantial presence. For the mushrooms, I simply turned the strawberry image upside down and hand cut a stem for each one. The "Fall" sentiment is from the More than Autumn stamp set.

I stamped a text image from the Elements of Text stamp set using Basic Beige ink on a 3.75" x 4.75 to create a subtle background  and ink blended around the edges using Early Espresso and Pecan Pie ink. Then I layered this panel on a piece of Early Espresso card stock cut at 4" by 5.25" and adhered it at an angle on an A2 Basic Beige card base.

I added a few flat Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots to the centers of the flowers. Then to finish off the card, I added faux stitching to all the images and around the edge of the card.

Are you ready for Fall? I cannot wait!!
