A June Halloween Card???

That's right!  I created a Halloween card for my Craft Roulette submission this week!  I love to make Halloween cards and all the parameters aligned for a Halloween card this week!

Craft Roulette is a fun, interactive show that provides four parameters each Friday night and you have until Sunday evening to post your card to their website and Facebook page. This was my 78th submission!

So...what were the parameters for me to create a Halloween card?  Read on...
1. a square card - My card is a 4.25 x 4.25 card.
2. Butterfly colors- I chose the black and orange colors of a monarch butterfly.
3. Clouds -The ink blending of the edges of the card resemble spooky clouds.
4. Tied - The spider "tied" her web to connect the strands.

To make the card, I used the Elements of Text stamped in Basic Gray on a Smokey Slate card base.  This is such a versatile stamp set! I also stenciled a spider web over the stamped image and used ink blending brushes to create "spooky clouds" around the edges of the card.

I stamped two pumpkins from a very old stamp set, Fall Fest, and cut them out.  I glued the large one to the card front and used dimensionals to adhere the second one. The ink splatters are also a stamp from the Elements of Text stamp set.

I stamped "Happy Halloween" in Basic Gray directly to the card front and finished it off with some black adhesive stars.

If you haven't played Craft Roulette, give it a try!  It is on YouTube every Friday night and is a fun way to put your craft stash to good use!
