March Creative Challenge: Visually Clean and Simple Projects

March’s SU! Creative Challenge focuses on clean and simple designs (though not necessarily easy to create).

Use these three principles to help you achieve this look:

1) Embrace negative space—a neutral palette and white-on-white layers leave plenty of breathing room.

2) Add subtle texture—“clean” doesn’t mean “technique-free”; tap a Stampin’ Blend against a Bone Folder or rough up the edges of a layer for light distressing.

3) Cluster elements to the power of three—group a trio of elements to create a single, clear focal point (e.g. background stamping + images + sentiment).
