When Can a Poinsettia Become a Sunflower?

Today, I used the Gift of Joy stamp set that has a bouquet with a poinsettia, but I colored it yellow and brown to resemble a sunflower!  I really like how it turned out.  This is a two step stamp set and and used the solid images to create a colorful background.

I began with an A2 Pecan Pie card base and cut a panel of Very Vanilla card stock 1/8 inch smaller.  I stamped the two floral solid images in Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks. I cut a banner from the Stylish Shapes die set and stamped a Paper Pumpkin sentiment in Old Olive ink.

Another fun twist (literally) was the box I placed my floral arrangement in.  I stamped in once, then gave it a quarter turn and stamped it again, giving it a checked look.  Then I stamped the outline floral image in Pecan Pie ink and the solid images in Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks.  I cut the panel out using the retired Layering Square dies and amounted it on a square of Pecan Pie card stock.  I added some Old Olive twine and a few flat brown dot embellishments.

What do you think? Do you have any stamp sets that can play double time over the holiday season?
