Do you sometimes feel like you need just a touch of texture to step up your cards? Here's a tip for adding just a hint...cut some die cut images in the same color as your card front. This will add a bit of texture and will also resemble an embossed image!
Today, my card base is from Basic Beige card stock and my die cut images are as well. The floral image dies are from the Floral Charm bundle. I adhered the die cut images with glue to the card front giving it a tone-on-tone effect.
This is a book binding card so I scored 3/4 of an inch below the spine and glued this portion to the inside of the card. I placed a piece of DSP from the Autumn Toile DSP pack along the spine and then used a piece of Basic Beige ribbon to give it more texture.
I cut a tag from the Patterned Tag dies on water color paper, stamped some leaves in Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze inks. The Gather sentiment is from the Gathering Moments stamp set and stamped in Early Espresso ink.
The pumpkin is water color stamped in retired Mango Melody ink. I added it with a dimensional and added a few faceted gems to finish off the card.
For those hopping over from my FB page, the answer is 3. :)
