Today, I'll reveal card number 1 from the One Sheet Wonder on page 42 of the September Mini Catalog. The image shows how to cut your DSP to get six cards from one 12 x 12 sheet of paper. Not only do the images beside it also show how to use the different pieces on cards, they show how to dress up your DSP to take it up a notch.
To step up the 4 x 5.25 panel of North Pole Delivery DSP today, I added ink blending using Pecan Pie ink to blend around the edges of the panel. This added a sense of vintage to the card. You could also ink blend the color to images within the piece of patterned paper. It will depend on the design in the paper to determine where to ink blend.
I began my card by cutting an A2 piece of Garden Green card stock and adhered the panel described above to the front of the card. Then I cut a stitched square in Very Vanilla card stock and another in a Basic Black card stock slightly larger layer to place behind my focal image. I stamped the "tis the season" from Homemade Treats stamp set in Garden Green ink, then the greenery and ornaments from the Gift of Joy stamp set. I only used a portion of the stamp on my sentiment.
Tip: Use washi tape to cover the portion of the stamp you don't want to use, ink the portion you want to use, then remove the tape and stamp your image. This will allow you to omit part of the stamp you don't want to use for your project.
I adhered this to the front panel with dimensionals, then added ephemera from the North Pole Delivery DSP pack.
Have you ever added details to your DSP? It is a great way to customize it to fit your projects! Give it a try. I think you will like it and use it more often!!
