Thanks for stopping by today for our last Holiday Treat Containers Class! The project today is bagelopes! Bagelopes are small bags made from envelopes!
I'm using A2 envelopes, but you can use any envelopes you have on hand. You may just need to adjust the measurements a little bit.
Begin by sealing your envelope. Then score 1/2 inch in on the bottom and two sides. Then cut the top off as close to the edge as possible.
Use a bone folder to burnish your score lines. Score them forward and backward to weaken the paper fibers.
Place your hand inside the envelope and begin pushing the bottom with your other hand. You will eventually work the middle fold to the inside of the bag and the score lines work to create a bottom for your bag. Then do the same on both sides.
You will end up with a triangle shape at the bottom on each side. Once you have the shape of the bag completed, fold these triangles in toward the center.
To finish off the bags, embellish for the holiday you are creating for. I used the following supplies:
- Spooky Halloween Bundle
- Fright Night Dies
- Keeping Traditions stamp set
- Fall for Toile Paper Pumpkin kit
- Stampin' Blend Markers
- Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Petunia Pop, Early Espresso and Memento Black Inks
- Petunia Pop, Timid Tiger and Pool Party (retired) ribbons
- tissue paper
I am planning on making these for my Thanksgiving table as place cards and filling them with small favors.
Thanks for joining me for my Holiday Containers Class. I hope you were able to gain a few ideas for the upcoming season!
Join me in November for Peppermint Party Week. Watch for more information coming in mid-October!
