Flowers, Paint and Plaid...Oh My!

The card I have created for today looks simple but there are several techniques involved...nothing difficult at all, just different techniques.

To begin, I cut and scored a piece of Basic White card stock to an A2 size. Now comes a series of techniques...

Technique #1: Dry Embossing  I used the Forever Plaid embossing folder with a 4" x 5.25" Basic White piece of card stock to create texture.

Tip: I like to spritz my paper with water before running it through the Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine for a more defined texture.

Technique #2: Water Coloring I stamped the floral image from the You Are Remarkable stamp set in Stazon Black ink and used reinkers to watercolor the image with Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pecan Pie inks. I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the image.

Technique #3: Embossing I used Versa Mark ink to stamp "thank you" on a small sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock, sprinkled white embossing powder over the Versa Mark stamped sentiment and heated it to create my sentiment.  I trimmed it as close to the letters as possible.  I also cut a triangle from the Mossy Meadow to mount behind my focal point and raised the focal point off the card front with dimensionals.

I used linen thread and Daffodil Delight ribbon to tie a double bow around the stitched rectangle piece to finish off the card.
